John Altick
Owner & Operator
A Citadel professor turned real estate professional, John brings more than 10 years of industry experience and a deep understanding of the Carolinas rental market to Sea Island Homes. He works closely with clients, evaluates investment properties, and helps guide the company’s growth across the region. His insight into what makes a rental property successful shapes the opportunities Sea Island Homes pursues and the service it provides to homeowners.
Stephanie Crumpler
Guest Communications & Leasing Coordinator
Stephanie is a key point of contact for Sea Island Homes guests, providing timely answers and support throughout their stays. She also coordinates long-term rental inquiries and keeps applications and move-ins on track. As the VP of Operations’ right hand for administrative work, Stephanie helps keep the team organized and the details moving behind the scenes.
Kristine Becker
Regional Property Manager of Coastal South Carolina
Kristine oversees Sea Island Homes’ properties in the Myrtle Beach and Murrells Inlet area. She coordinates property care, inspections, and local team support to help keep homes guest ready. Her knowledge of the region and attention to each property help owners feel confident their homes are in good hands.
Kennan Hoffman
Vice President of Operations
Kennan oversees the day-to-day operations of Sea Island Homes, helping ensure each property is ready to welcome guests and well cared for throughout its time in the portfolio. Her work spans property onboarding, outfitting, inspections, maintenance coordination, listings, and communication with homeowners and guests. With a hands-on approach and a strong eye for detail, Kennan works closely with the team to solve problems, keep projects moving, and deliver a consistent experience across Sea Island Homes’ properties in the Carolinas.

Property Manager
Erick is Sea Island Homes’ boots on the ground. Detail oriented and happy go lucky, this amicable guy helps behind the scenes to ensure everything is running smoothly from reservation start to finish.
Joseph Garvey
Chief Financial Officer
Joseph leads the financial side of Sea Island Homes. He oversees planning, budgets, and investment decisions that support the company’s growth. His focus on sound financial management helps the team make thoughtful decisions for both the business and the homeowners it serves.
Sara Anderson
Regional Property Manager of Western North Carolina
Sara oversees Sea Island Homes’ Western North Carolina properties, caring for homes firsthand while leading the local cleaning team. She coordinates inspections, maintenance, and the details that keep each property ready for guests. Her hands-on knowledge of the homes helps her respond quickly when needs arise and gives owners confidence that their properties are well cared for.

OUR BACK STORY
What started out as a spectacular friendship has evolved into a well-oiled machine built on mutual respect and ambition. John, a celebrated professor at the Citadel, and Campbell, a sought-after builder, would often day-dream of working together on investment properties here in the community they love.
After deciding to take the leap of faith and start the business together, the duo successfully laid the foundation and built their dream, acquiring over 75 properties and a vast knowledge of the ever-changing short term rental market in Charleston, SC. They continue to grow the business, bringing on their close and talented friends to help.
